Named by Jerry Lehman while on a trip to visit Bill Owens in Dollywood, TN, “Dollywood” produces copious amounts of large, flavorful persimmons averaging 2 ½ inches wide. Perhaps the most interesting feature of this cultivar is the trees’ unusual growth habit; It tends to spread outward rather than upward, creating a large canopy of drooping branches heavily ladened with beautiful fruits.
