Both Beautiful & Delicious
Another favorite coming out of the breeding program of James Claypool, “Elmo” is a beautiful edible landscaping choice boasting an impressive upright spreading growth with lots of vigor and attractive yellow-orange foliage providing strong color in the Autumn.
It reliably produces a heavy crop season after season and is known for its vigor, production and disease-resistance. The deliciously sweet, soft fruits are said to be some of the largest American persimmons on the market today. Also a Chromosome 90 American persimmon, “Elmo” will produce seedless fruits south of the Ohio River, making it a fantastic choice for those needing to process large amounts of fruit.
