Highly sought after, though somewhat elusive we do know that “DEC Goliath” was part of the breeding efforts of Donald E. Compton (DEC).
One of the largest cultivated American persimmons available on the market, it is best known for it’s colossal size of 2.5-3 inches. When ripe, “DEC Goliath” possesses the archetypal sweet flavor of a good persimmon and is earlier ripening which can help provide fruit throughout bow season, as well as, kick-off the harvest of persimmon fruit for the year.
