USDA Zones: 8-11; Figs easily be grown as container plants in zones where they can’t be grown in the ground. A few cold-hardier cultivars can survive in zones 6 & 7 with proper winter protection and in micro-climates.

Spacing: Varies; Standard Orchard- 20 ft/ Standard Yard- 10-15 ft./ High Density Hedge/ 2-4 ft. (6-8 ft. in humid climates) *NOTE* If space is an issue, figs respond well to being pruned and can be kept quite small with regular pruning.

Pollination Requirements:  Figs are self-fertile and do not require cross-pollination. (One tree, by itself, will bear fruit.)
