Marshmallow pawpaw was discovered on the same late 1800’s orchard in Richmond, KY as 'Honeydew; and 'Cantaloupe' and released by Woody Walker. It is an impressive cultivar with superb flavor and texture and very fast growing habits. The Marshmallow pawpaw fruits are plump, well-formed and medium in size (7-9 ounces) while the light flesh has a chiffon/marshmallow/custard texture. The flavor is a mix of tropical fruit with sweet honeyed-melon and is the sweetest of these three Woody Walker releases. The freestone seeds make it especially easy for processing. Ripens early season.

Other Considerations
Pawpaws require more than 1 cultivar for cross-pollination (This means you need at least two trees with different names. We recommend planting 3 to ensure excellent pollination.)
Beautiful Beginnings pawpaws have highly-developed and extensive root systems that set your tree up for success from the very beginning by helping it to anchor well and grow vigorously with proper care.
All pawpaws trees are shipped as potted plants in the Spring or early Summer.
