VE-21 pawpaw is a cross between 'Prolific' and 'Overleese' and is another excellent result of the breeding work done by Jerry Lehman of Terra Haute, IN. Considered a very high quality cultivar, it produces medium-large sized fruits with light yellow flesh, an excellent, creamy texture and a sweetly refined pawpaw flavor. VE-21 pawpaw ripens very early-season.
