$54.99 – $124.99
Maria’s Joy (166-13) pawpaw is another excellent pawpaw from the breeding work of Jerry Lehman (Terra Haute, IN). It is a ‘Davis x Prolific’ cross and is known for producing reliable crops of medium-large sized, exceptionally high quality fruits year after year. Fruits are kidney-shaped, averaging between 8-14 ounces but have been known to reach 1 pound. The flesh of the Maria’s Joy (166-13) pawpaw is yellow with a buttery texture and an excellent sweet, mango/pineapple flavor with strong hints of bubblegum. It has been compared to ‘Tropical Treat’ in its flavor profile. Maria’s Joy pawpaw won the Ohio’s Pawpaw Festival’s “Biggest Pawpaw” Contest in 2012 and is generally considered one of the best tasting pawpaws available. Ripens mid-late season.

Other Considerations
Pawpaws require more than 1 cultivar for cross-pollination (This means you need at least two trees with different names. We recommend planting 3 to ensure excellent pollination.)
Beautiful Beginnings pawpaws have highly-developed and extensive root systems that set your tree up for success from the very beginning by helping it to anchor well and grow vigorously with proper care.
All pawpaws trees are shipped as potted plants in the Spring or early Summer.
